The Toshiba VFP7 is a frequency converter with vector control with open or closed loop.          Its versatility, dynamic performance levels and low maintenance allow the VFP7 to work even in the harshest applications. On-line autotuning warrants outstanding performance even in the sensorless mode, reaching torque rates of over 150% already starting from 0.4Hz. The standard control panel (“7 segment” 4 character display, 6 pushbuttons and 1 potentiometer), besides starting the motor and adjusting the speed in the local mode, makes it possible to keep all the motor parameters under control and monitor the main ones.                   General characteristics Operation up to 50°C without derating. Dynamic braking with the help of an external braking chopper. Condenser precharging circuit. Access to the DC BUS for direct current supply. Separate power/auxiliary supply (only over 30kW). Active ground failure protection. Dedicated functions for use with pumps, fans, stirring devices, centrifuges etc. Standard TTL and RS485 interface. PNP or NPN selectable I/O logics. The whole dissipating area is mounted externally. Input and output phase failure detection. Energy saving operating mode, torque booster.                        Special functions PID function for controlling pumps and fans (for controlling pumps and ventilation systems). 4 sets of parameters for the control of 4 different motors (the inverter has 4 sets of independent parameters). By-pass contactor control (integrated I/O control for by-pass relay control ). Functions for cranes and lifts (set of specific parameters for cranes or lifts). Automatic operation (4 cycles with 8 steps each, up to 16 preset speeds and 16 cycle times available).
